Information collection and use
ResumeCue does not collect, transmit, or store resume content on external servers. The resume details you enter are used only to generate, preview, tailor, and export your documents on your own device.
Content you may enter
- Name, email, phone number, address, and other resume contact details.
- Work experience, education, skills, projects, certifications, and professional summaries.
- Optional job description text used for local role-match and ATS-style review tools.
Important: ResumeCue cannot see, recover, or delete resume data stored on your device because we do not receive it.
How your data is stored
Web app
The web builder stores resume data locally in your browser using Local Storage. Clearing browser data or site data for ResumeCue will remove saved resumes from that browser.
iOS app
The iOS app stores resume data locally on your device. If iCloud Backup is enabled for your device, Apple may include app data in your personal iCloud backup according to your iOS settings. ResumeCue does not access your iCloud account.
Data we do not collect or share
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share resume content or personal information. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic, page routes, template usage, export formats, and basic funnel events. We do not use advertising networks or external resume-processing services.
- No account profile is created.
- No resume content is uploaded to ResumeCue servers.
- Analytics events do not include resume text, names, email addresses, phone numbers, job descriptions, uploaded file names, feedback messages, or share-link payloads.
- No advertising identifier or cross-app tracking is used.
- No location data, contacts, photos, or microphone access is required for core resume building.
Your control
You control the data you create in ResumeCue.
- Access: Open your saved resumes in the app or browser where they were created.
- Edit: Update resume sections directly in the builder.
- Export: Export PDF, Word, LaTeX, HTML, JSON, or bundled application files where supported.
- Delete: Delete resumes in the app, uninstall the iOS app, or clear browser site data.
Security
Because resume data stays local, its security depends on your device, browser, and operating-system protections. We recommend using a trusted personal device, keeping your device updated, and enabling a strong passcode or biometric lock.
PDF, Word, LaTeX, HTML, and bundle exports are generated from the information you enter. Once exported, you control where those files are saved and who receives them.
Privacy rights and compliance
ResumeCue is designed to minimize privacy risk by not collecting data in the first place. For GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and similar privacy frameworks, your access, deletion, and portability controls are handled directly on your device because ResumeCue does not maintain a server-side user record.
For App Store privacy labels, ResumeCue declares that data is not collected.
